The Roots return once again to hit you over the head with some Philly flava. This time they brought a lot of guests with them from hometown favorite’s DJ Jazzy Jeff and Peedi Crack to new-comers Wale and Porn. All coming around with a different message of poverty, police brutality, and the violence they see in their hometown of in the 215. Although their messages get deep it’s still that good ‘ol Roots sound that we’ve grown to, and stayed attached to, for years. So enjoy the record and support one of Philly’s finest.

Coming all the way from Copenhagen, Denmark, Philly native and Footworks vet Maylay Sparks returns to drop another album. Featuring both producers and MC’s from Denmark this album shows what it sounds like when you mix a grimy city with a European town. Touching on such topics as touring, some of the good green and what it takes to survive in the music game. Maylay comes equipped with 215’s own: Reef The Lost Cauze, Kenneth Masters and producers Dev Rocka and Zack. Also on the album are C-Rayz Walz, Wildchild and SNM Squad.

The long awaited release of the concept album from producer Cimer Amor and MC Equinox known as the Caen Project finally hits shelves. The album is filled with dark alley beats and grimy rhymes and features some of Philly’s most known gutter MC’s such as; Crypt The Warchild (OuterSpace), King Syze, Reef The Lost Cauze, Rockey Reyes, and long time collaborator Rellik of Poynt Blanc. Clean Guns and Beat Garden representative; Nico The Beast drops his debut solo album filled with cut-throat battle raps showing you why he calls himself “a fierce beast.” The album features Philly area artists such as: 2ew Gun Ciz, Reef The Lost Cauze, Magr, Slim DSM, and Clean Guns partner Zilla Rocca (also providing beats.)
