Wordplay W/Scanz

I can still say Happy New Year right? Well, Happy New Year then and welcome to the first official Wordplay in 2008 (Illit’s was done in 2007). The first person up is MC Scanz, whose album, ‘Prelude to a Legacy’ was released recently on Rawkus Records. I really knew nothing about dude, except I do remember liking one of his songs posted here awhile back. So, this was kinda a good introduction to what some call ‘the hottest new MC in Philly’. Wordplay w/Illit

What to say about this one? Being short on time at the moment makes this a bit easier to write. Illit is someone I met a few years ago going to underground shows. I had no choice but to talk to him because it was those type of shows were there were only the same15 or so people. Anyway, it wasn’t until after a few times chatting that I realized he also rhymed. And it wasn’t until a few times after that I even realized his brother was DJ Cru Cut. Illit has been featured on a few releases the past few years and done a few performances in preparation for his solo project which is due out ummm…I dunno. But, it’s coming, I hear.
