Wordplay w/DJ No Phrillz

I won’t pretend to know DJ No Phrillz real well. I know he does mixtapes and lives in Philly. That’s good enough to get a Wordplay. If you don’t know him real well either, check him out at myspace.com/djnophrillz or read below.

1. When was the last time you got a ticket (meaning a fine), and what was it for?
Not wearing a seatbelt because the cop was a hater. He was mad I had my license and insurance and my car was looking and soundin good and he wanted to live stop my boys in the hood 5.0 mustang.

2. R Kelly - Guilty or Not?
I plead the fifth, who am I to judge anyone.

3. Name 2 pet peeves?
Fraud and MP3 mixtape DJ’s you know little Michael from What the F, Pennsylvania that thinks he can DJ cause he got iTunes and an iPod. Now that’s fraud lol.

4. Are you looking for any spring/summer movie?
Nah … cause I already saw “Iron Man” and I don’t know about “Incredible Hulk” but what I do know is that they need to bring back “The X-Men”.

5. What is the most influential album in your life?
I really don’t have an album, there is too many to name, but I will give you one single and that’s DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince “Live from Union Square” 1986 and big shout out to DJ Ghetto and the Action Figure DJ Squad. That track was live and it was that classic block party sound, it wasn’t scripted, that’s when Jeff introduced the transformer scratch to the world and the crowd went crazy. That track inspired me to DJ.

6. Do you believe in God?
Yes – of course I believe in God. There has to be something that created the balance in the universe. I just happen to call it God, other people call it something else. It’s good to believe in something – if you don’t believe in something, you’ll fall for anything.

7. When was the last time you pissed in public?
This weekend actually, bike weekend 2008 in Myrtle Beach and you want to know why? They was ridden really dirty with them port-a-potties down there.

8. How many concerts on average to attend a year?
1 or 2 because the Philly market is terrible for any artist … Philly don’t support artists here let alone artists from outside the city … the artists I want to see wouldn’t come here like Nas, the Executioners, M.O.P., Philly we need to pull ourselves together - P.S.P. Philly support Philly!!!

9. How many pillows do you sleep with at night?
One, I need a new one …lol

10. What is your favorite cookout food?
Beef ribs and hot beef sausages fresh off big mama’s grill … I don’t get down with the swine …lol
